Our first night

McKinley group ready to go and meet the rest
of the Work Week Crew
We tried tonight to send you an introductory video, but without any luck.  Trust us when we say that we enjoyed making the video.  Our broadband connection was just too shaky to allow us to upload.  Imagine, if you will, 11 teenagers and a couple chaperones yelling "Hello" and waving wildly from the living room at Todd Hall:

  • One youth and one adult from St George's Episcopal Church in Belleville,
  • One teenager from St Paul's Cathedral and three from St Luke's in Springfield,
  • One adult from Sparta, and
  • One chaperone plus six youth from McKinley Presbyterian in Champaign/Urbana.

We spent tonight getting to know each other and exploring the grounds at the Todd Hall Retreat Center.    "Catch Phrase" seems to be the game and app of choice.  All is quiet as we settle in, needing a good night's rest before rising early to travel to Harrisburg in the morning.  Goodnight, and we'll be sure to have pictures of everyone available for tomorrow's post!

UNBELIEVABLE! Home from Work Week only to discover that our video DID work!  Here it is:
